SkinMedica AHA/BHA Exfoliating Cleanser is a physician-formulated daily resurfacing face wash that delivers mild chemical exfoliation with every cleanse — gently dissolving dead skin cells, clearing congested pores, and improving skin tone and texture without the irritation of separate exfoliating treatment products. The dual AHA/BHA approach addresses both surface texture and pore depth, making it one of the most clinically efficient ways to integrate exfoliation into a daily routine.

Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHAs) — including Glycolic Acid and Lactic Acid — are water-soluble exfoliants that work on the skin's surface to dissolve the intercellular cement that holds dead skin cells together, accelerating cell turnover, improving brightness, and smoothing rough texture over time. Beta Hydroxy Acid (Salicylic Acid, BHA) is oil-soluble, allowing it to penetrate into the pore lining to dissolve excess sebum and cellular debris — making it particularly effective for acne-prone, congested, or oily skin. Gentle Jojoba Beads provide simultaneous mechanical exfoliation for immediate texture smoothing. The formula is balanced to deliver exfoliating benefit without the tightness or over-stripping associated with stronger acids, making it appropriate for daily use as a cleanser.

Sunburn alert: this product contains AHA — use daily SPF 30+ while using and for one week after discontinuation. Apply to dampened skin, massage gently, rinse thoroughly. WOWZER—serious skin boost

So this stuff actually works. Light exfoliating particles work with the natural chemical exfoliants to turbo-charge your complexion and give your skin a boost. Also, I was initially stopped by the price until I realized this is a great big tube of the stuff, not a chintzy little fashionable bottle. I love it.

Noticed a softer smooth skin

I’m a low maintenance gal and I love this as a body wash. Ive been using for a year now. Ive always had soft skin but as you age your skin looses the tightness. I squeeze a small amount on my body sponge and use in shower 4 times a week. My skin has become softer and a little tighter. I’m 53yrs old. A little pricey but using 4x a week tube lasts 4months.
