PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Refresh PM Sensitive Lubricant Eye Ointment is a preservative-free, intensive nighttime eye ointment designed for patients with moderate to severe dry eye who need maximum overnight protection — providing all-night sustained lubrication and moisture sealing that standard drops cannot maintain during sleep. The ointment formulation remains on the ocular surface throughout the night rather than draining away, delivering the most prolonged protection of any over-the-counter dry eye product.

White Petrolatum (57.3%) is the primary active — an ultra-effective occlusive agent that forms a thick, protective moisture barrier over the ocular surface and inner eyelid during sleep, preventing the transepidermal and transocular water loss that causes morning dry eye symptoms, crusting, and discomfort. Mineral Oil (42.5%) provides the complementary lubricating component — a smooth, long-lasting ophthalmic-grade lubricant that reduces friction between the eyelid and corneal surfaces throughout the night. The Sensitive formulation is specifically preservative-free — the standard Lacri-Lube contains Chlorobutanol preservative, while Refresh PM Sensitive contains no preservative, making it the preferred choice for patients with preservative sensitivity. Note: intentional blurring of vision occurs after application due to the ointment viscosity — apply at bedtime only. FSA & HSA eligible. For external use only.
