PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Seasonal allergies and year-round histamine intolerance are driven by the same core mechanism: excessive mast cell degranulation releasing histamine and other inflammatory mediators in response to allergens or dietary triggers. While antihistamines block histamine receptors after the fact and commonly cause sedation, dependency, or rebound effects, Natural D-Hist takes a different approach — stabilizing mast cells to reduce histamine release at the source, while simultaneously supporting the enzymatic breakdown of existing histamine and modulating the underlying inflammatory cascade.

Quercetin (as Quercetin Dihydrate) is the foundational active — a potent flavonoid mast cell stabilizer that inhibits mast cell degranulation, blocks histamine-mediated inflammatory signaling, and provides direct anti-inflammatory activity through LOX and COX pathway inhibition. Stinging Nettle Extract (Urtica Dioica, 1% Silicic Acid) inhibits histidine decarboxylase (the enzyme that produces histamine), prostaglandin formation, and multiple other inflammatory pathways — with clinical efficacy comparable to antihistamines without sedation. Bromelain (2400 GDU/g) reduces nasal mucus viscosity, enhances quercetin bioavailability by 200%, and provides direct anti-inflammatory mucosal support. N-Acetyl Cysteine (NAC) thins nasal and bronchial secretions and replenishes glutathione to reduce histamine-induced oxidative stress. Vitamin C provides antihistamine cofactor activity.
